Multi Dynamic Field Pulse Width Modulation (MDFPWM) was originally designed as a Computronics (Minecraft mod) Tape layout specification, the final version of which being MDFPWMv2.3. The current version, MDFPWMv3, has been lightly tweaked to function as a container file format, akin to Matroska (MKV) format.

MDFPWM is not intending to be a one-size-fits-all solution, it's meant for the world of Minecraft, and aims to remain a simple format, easy to understand, easy to parse.
